The Municipal Public Services Company of Alcoy (EMSA) will take over the management of the Municipal Theater School, making it the seventh service under its purview, with the aim of being operational for the next academic year.

This new responsibility is added to those already announced last month by the municipal government. To make this possible, a credit modification has been approved, as waiting for the approval of the new municipal budget would make it unfeasible to meet the established deadline.
The Municipal Theater School, which has been operating for ten years, was previously managed directly by the Culture department of Alcoy City Council. Now, it will be integrated into EMSA's portfolio of services, which already includes home care assistance and the cleaning of municipal buildings.
Furthermore, it is expected that throughout this year, the public company will also be responsible for the concierge and maintenance of the Rodes technological park, the Municipal Art Gallery, and the future Camilo Sesto museum, as well as the Eduardo Latorre sports complex.
The municipal plenary session, held this Wednesday, addressed various credit modifications to expedite actions that could not wait for the new budget. These include, in addition to the management of the Theater School, the repair of the roof of the Miguel Sarasa municipal pavilion, the adaptation of the Zona Alta health center, and the completion of the municipal payment for projects in the Low Emission Zone (Next Generation II).

"We have had a legislature full of credit modifications and the government has never before carried out such an explanatory and advertising campaign for citizens to understand the importance of credit modifications, which have been made in every plenary session during the legislature, and I urge them to continue doing so."
