The Llíria Hospital faces a critical situation with the suspension of scheduled surgical interventions and the daily closure of an operating room, due to the forced transfer of anesthesiology specialists to the La Fe University Hospital by the Conselleria de Sanitat.

This measure, jointly denounced by the unions UGT Serveis Públics PV and CSIF, has immediately led to the suspension of operations and the closure of an operating room at the Llíria center in an attempt to alleviate the staff deficit in the Valencian capital.
The origin of the conflict lies in the management of La Fe Hospital, where the lack of coverage for twelve anesthesia positions has led the management to impose mandatory transfers of professionals from other departments. According to the trade unions, this situation is the result of poor planning, as the positions offered at La Fe were not filled at the time because the working conditions were not attractive. Instead of improving these incentives, the administration has opted for a reorganization that, in the words of the workers' representatives, means stripping one hospital to dress another.

The healthcare impact in the Camp de Túria region is already a worrying reality, with an estimated loss of these specialists forcing the suspension of nearly seventy interventions each month in the Arnau-Llíria department. This paralysis broadly affects patients awaiting traumatology, cardiology, or gynecology surgeries, who now see their operations rescheduled and their waiting times indefinitely increased. The measure not only alters healthcare but also disrupts the organization of medical teams that were already working with very tight staffing levels before this crisis.
In the labor sphere, unions denounce that these transfers have been carried out unilaterally through the Agrupación Sanitaria Interdepartamental Valencia Sur, bypassing negotiation in the Sectoral Table and violating the rights of professionals. CSIF and UGT agree that the measure arbitrarily alters the workplace and severely hinders the personal and family reconciliation of the affected medical staff. Given this scenario, both organizations have requested the Conselleria to immediately halt the transfers and implement an emergency plan to guarantee the coverage of positions at La Fe without undermining the surgical capacity of Llíria Hospital.
