The event, local in nature and with strong roots, will take place in Faura. The author, Yolanda Candela Pérez, a resident of the town, has poured over two decades of her professional experience in the healthcare field into this work, particularly from her role at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit of the Provincial Hospital of Castellón.
The book tells the story of Lía, a protagonist who uses the metaphor of "crickets" to explain abstract concepts like intrusive thoughts or "mental noise". It is designed for children aged 6 to 12, but the author believes it is "valid for children and not-so-children alike".
As an additional resource, the work includes a "Libreta Atrapagrillos" (Cricket Catcher Notebook), a therapeutic writing activity that helps young children express and manage their emotions through drawing or writing.
To facilitate family participation, a "Rincón Atrapagrillos" (Cricket Catcher Corner) will be set up in the antechamber of the Auditorium. This is a playful and creative space where children can paint and play while their parents attend the presentation.
The mayor of Faura, Consol Duran, highlighted the town council's pleasure in promoting initiatives like this, which foster local talent and have a positive social impact. "It is a true pride to host this event and see how a faurera, with such extraordinary human quality as Yolanda, takes the step to share her wisdom in such a necessary work," she stated.
