The activity, organized by the research group RIUMED and the University of Valencia in collaboration with the Sagunto City Council, aims to enhance public understanding of this natural hazard. Registration is free and can be completed via a link provided by the university.
Attendees will work in small groups, primarily using cartographic materials, to better understand the characteristics of the Palancia basin and its drainage network leading to Sagunto.
The workshop will include analysis of the study area's risk cartography and the presentation of official, reliable information sources for consulting during dangerous situations. Questionnaires will also be administered to advance research on public perception of the risk.
Participation is limited to a maximum of 60 people, divided into groups of up to six members, with the goal of designing more effective prevention strategies.
