The Sagunto City Council has launched two calls for subsidies, with a total investment of 43,000 euros, to strengthen the promotion and revitalization of local commerce during the 2026 fiscal year.

One of the aid lines, endowed with 35,000 euros, is aimed at associations in the municipality to promote commercial activities. These subsidies seek to foster local commerce and reduce spending leakage to other localities or distribution channels. Beneficiaries are non-profit professional associative entities, made up of entrepreneurs with a fixed establishment in Sagunto.
The aid will finance activities and events that contribute to revitalizing the local commercial fabric. The concession will be made by comparative evaluation of the projects presented, according to the criteria established in the regulatory bases. The amount of the subsidy may not exceed 90% of the project cost or be less than 20%, with a maximum of 8,000 euros per initiative and a minimum subsidizable amount of 1,500 euros. The application period is twenty working days and will be open until Tuesday, May 12, inclusive.
On the other hand, the council has convened a second line of subsidies, with 8,000 euros, intended for the promotion and participation in trade fairs. This call maintains the same beneficiary profile and also seeks to strengthen local commerce through active presence in fair events, favoring the visibility, competitiveness, and business opportunities of the sector.
As with the first line, aid for fairs will be granted under a competitive bidding regime and will cover between 20% and 90% of the project cost, with a maximum limit of 8.000 euros and a minimum of 1,500 euros per application. In this case, the application period will also be twenty working days, from Wednesday, April 15 to Wednesday, May 13, both inclusive.

"These subsidies represent an opportunity for the commercial sector's associations to carry out dynamic actions. Furthermore, it is an opportunity to offer consumers better advantages for buying in local commerce and, in turn, to publicize all our commercial typology."
