According to the Generalitat's Emergency services, the fire started in an area close to the Palancia River. The port of Sagunto has been closed to ensure the safety of the amphibious aircraft maneuvers.
The police have closed the N-234 road accessing the area affected by the flames. The firefighting operation also includes five fire brigades from the Valencia consortium, forest brigades, four command units, and four more forest firefighters.
