The period for submitting candidacies for the presidency of the Federación Junta Fallera de Sagunto (FJFS) is now open, as announced at the last meeting of the Board of Presidents.

The Federación Junta Fallera de Sagunto (FJFS) has initiated the process to elect its new presidency for the 2027-2028 Fallas terms. The deadline for submitting candidacies began on March 20 and will conclude on April 28, coinciding with the closing meeting of the current term.
The public presentation of the candidacies will take place on April 30 at the Fallas Museum, an event open to the entire Fallas community in the region. Finally, the vote for the election of the FJFS presidency will be held on May 5 at an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Presidents.
A member of the La Vila de Sagunto Fallas committee has publicly announced their intention to run as a candidate to lead the festive entity. This individual previously sought the position two years ago and has prior experience within the FJFS, having served as Vice President of Festivities for two years.

"Just like two years ago, we come with great enthusiasm to work together with all the Fallas members of El Camp de Morvedre for the good of our festival."

The candidate has announced that they will soon present the members who will accompany them on their slate, as well as their proposals for the next two years. It has already been confirmed that a member of the Churruca Hispanidad Fallas committee will be part of the candidacy as general vice president, overseeing the areas of Treasury and Communication.
Now, the wait is on to see if more candidacies will be submitted before the deadline. It is important to remember that, even if there is only one candidacy, it must be put to a vote by the Board of Presidents to receive approval from the Fallas committees of the region.
