This ongoing process invites citizens over 18 years old to contribute to designing a more environmentally friendly town, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. The objective is to adapt municipal policies to current and future challenges, improve residents' quality of life, and strengthen the municipality's capacity to access supramunicipal funding.
A first diagnostic phase has begun with the launch of a survey to identify the municipality's needs and shortcomings. The information gathered will be crucial for implementing an action plan addressing various areas such as urban planning, mobility, housing, environment, public services, economic development, and social cohesion.
“"This shows the willingness to get involved in this process, which will undoubtedly improve the lives of the citizens of this town."
The town council has highlighted the positive initial response, with over 250 surveys already completed. This participation is expected to increase, given the notable rise in registered residents in Albalat dels Tarongers, which has grown from 1,500 people in January 2025 to 1,871 currently. This growth is considered an indicator that the municipality is an excellent place to live.
The urban agenda project is supported by the Diputación de València, which assists municipalities in defining local strategies based on sustainability, responsible planning, and participatory governance, thus ensuring a more prosperous future for the locality.
