This operation, which will extend throughout the week, also includes the dismantling of the Plaza de Dalt section. These tasks are essential to address the next phase of the project, which will focus on pending archaeological excavations.
Archaeological excavations are expected to begin next week. These will allow progress in the comprehensive recovery of this heritage site, located between the Central Market building and the already excavated area.
In parallel, the archaeology team is carrying out work to consolidate walls, treat cracks, and clean the Arab Baths. The objective is to ensure the conservation of the complex throughout the intervention process.
This action is part of a broader project for the restoration, protection, and enhancement of this historic enclave, considered one of the most relevant heritage elements in the vicinity of Elche's Central Market.
