The Elche-based footwear firm Pikolinos has successfully seized 2,300 pairs of shoes in an operation conducted in Elche against a model that allegedly reproduced one of its registered designs.

The seizure followed an order from the Court of Instance of Alicante, which reportedly authorized the precautionary measures requested by the company. The operation, supported by the Local Police Station of the National Police Corps of Elche, led to the confiscation of the material from a warehouse located in the Carrús Industrial Estate. These actions are part of the company's policy to protect its designs and brand identity.
Earlier this year, the Elche-based group announced a new phase with the appointment of Francisco Sánchez as the new CEO. This appointment comes amid a context of growth and consolidation for the group. Sánchez is working closely with the Perán family and the management team to lead the company's next chapter, aiming to continue driving growth, innovation, and strengthening the group's core values: quality, design, sustainability, and people.
The arrival of the new CEO follows the closure of the 2024-25 fiscal year, during which Grupo Pikolinos recorded a 6.5% growth in business volume compared to the previous year. This marks the third consecutive year that the company's executive management has been entirely handled by the second generation of the Perán family, the three children of founder Juan Perán. Meanwhile, the group's second brand, Martinelli, closed the fiscal year with a turnover of 11 million euros, a 4% increase from the previous year.
Furthermore, the footwear firm, headquartered in Elche, opened a new flagship store in London in February, located on the commercial Oxford Street, a key shopping hub for both residents and visitors.
