These projects, with a combined investment exceeding 3.2 million euros, have been in process since 2023. The company 1839 Els Tendre's Units SL plans one plant of 3.2 MW and another of 3.8 MW, covering 11.7 hectares of fenced land. With these two, there are now 27 photovoltaic plants approved by the regional administration in the area.
The facilities will be located in the Rural Area of Altabix. The first, FV El Tendre I, will have an installed capacity of 3.8 MW and will occupy 7.76 fenced hectares, with a cost of 1.7 million euros. For its part, FV El Tendre II will have 3.2 MW spread over 3.99 fenced hectares, with an investment of 1.4 million. Both plants will connect their evacuation infrastructure with a third plant, FV Altabix I, promoted by the owners of Oliva, to finally connect to the Saladas substation.
The final approval comes after the presentation of a revised project on March 31, which includes corrective measures to address the requirements of various public bodies. Among the most notable modifications are the removal of panels in flood-risk areas according to the Patricova plan and a new arrangement of module rows to respect existing agricultural terraces. Additionally, to reduce visual impact, “small groves” with native species such as wild olive, rosemary, and thyme will be created in areas of greater visibility.
Regarding fauna, measures have been incorporated for biodiversity conservation. The perimeter fencing will be of a hunting type to allow the passage of small wildlife, and matte white plates will be installed on the fence to prevent bird collisions. The company will also be required to maintain at least one water point for wild fauna. As for the soil, direct piling of structures without massive foundations or earth movements has been chosen to prevent erosion, at the request of the General Directorate of Natural and Animal Environment.
It should be noted that the City Council is already in the final phase of regulating photovoltaic plants in the General Plan, which will leave little space for new projects. Although the Generalitat has approved 27 plants, only five are currently built and two operational, awaiting municipal building permits.
