The Elche City Council has launched a new edition of the municipal program 'Enforma al Aire Libre', offering 125 places for outdoor physical activities throughout July, thereby expanding the summer sports options.

The initiative, running from June 29 to July 31, will primarily take place at the Elche Sports Park and in the districts of Valverde, Perleta, and Matola, areas where significant demand for physical activities has been noted. The program includes five different courses, each with groups of 25 participants.
Sessions will focus on physical maintenance, combining functional exercises with dance activities adapted to various levels. To ensure classes can proceed during potential high temperatures, the organization may utilize air-conditioned social centers.

"The objective is to continue promoting healthy lifestyle habits during the summer and offer accessible sports alternatives for all citizens, especially in our districts."

José Antonio Román · Sports Councilor
Interested individuals can register starting June 15 at 10:00 AM via the website of the Fundación del Deporte Ilicitano. The cost for each course will be 15.40 euros. Through this program, the Elche City Council aims to broaden sports options during the peak summer weeks and enable residents from different parts of the municipality to maintain an active routine.
Furthermore, during July and August, free activities will return to the beaches of Arenales del Sol, El Altet, and La Marina. These sessions, held from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, will be open to everyone without prior registration. The beach program will include zumba, pilates, and aquagym classes, activities that saw high participation last summer, with some sessions in Arenales del Sol attracting up to a hundred people.
