The city of Elche is hosting the 39th edition of the Amateur Theater Assembly of the Valencian Community, an event that brings together over 200 people and 40 amateur theater groups from across the region.

Throughout this weekend, the program transforms the city into a key meeting point for the sector, offering a variety of cultural and scenic activities. Among the proposals are guided tours, street theatrical performances, and a theatrical scavenger hunt, complementing the institutional reception held at the Gran Teatro.
One of the most anticipated moments of the assembly is the presentation of the TABLAS awards. These accolades recognize the work of groups, entities, or individuals who have excelled in regional amateur theater during 2025. The awards gala will take place on Saturday at 7:30 PM at the Gran Teatro, with free admission upon collection of invitations at the box office.
In this edition, the main recognitions go to the programmer of the Gran Teatro and the Elche-based group Carafur Teatro. This ceremony is presented as the most significant event of the entire gathering, highlighting the importance of amateur theater in Valencian culture.
