The Hospital Universitario del Vinalopó has incorporated the Da Vinci Xi robotic system, an advanced platform for minimally invasive surgery, which will begin use in September to improve patient precision and recovery.
The implementation of this equipment, representing an investment exceeding 2 million euros, includes the system's acquisition, operating room adaptations, and specialized training for the surgical team. This acquisition reinforces the center's commitment to technological innovation and healthcare excellence.
The new Da Vinci Xi robot is designed for complex surgical procedures in specialties such as Urology, Gynecology, General and Digestive Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery. Its less invasive technique, combined with a high-definition 3D view and enhanced maneuverability, achieves superior surgical precision and reduces patient impact.
The implementation of the Da Vinci Xi marks a significant advancement for the Vinalopó Health Department, reinforcing its dedication to innovative, safe, and patient-centered healthcare. The system features a surgeon's console, a patient cart, and advanced visualization and connectivity technology for high-resolution image integration and image-guided surgery.
This system optimizes operating room activity and adapts to various surgical specialties, offering versatility and efficiency. It is part of the investment plan agreed upon with the Conselleria de Sanitat (Regional Ministry of Health), enhancing continuous improvement in care quality and providing patients with more precise treatments and better recovery times.
