The Ministry of Emergencies and Interior is promoting an itinerant campaign to foster a preventive culture and strengthen self-protection against catastrophes in the Valencian Community, with stops in Orihuela and Cox.

This initiative, aimed at all citizens, is carried out through a mobile unit installed in a bus. The vehicle will travel through various municipalities to offer training in disaster prevention and disseminate public emergency resources, including the 1·1·2 application.
The program, designed by the General Directorate of Innovation in Emergencies, includes practical and immersive experiences, along with clear guidelines on how to act to reduce individual and collective vulnerability in situations such as floods, fires, or domestic accidents. The campaign will arrive in Orihuela on Wednesday, April 22, at the Glorieta Gabriel Miró, and in Cox on Thursday, April 23, at the Plaza de la Glorieta.
In each locality, morning sessions will be aimed at students from educational centers, while in the afternoon, activities open to the public will be offered in high-traffic areas. During the weekend, actions will be carried out to maximize citizen participation.
The mobile bus technology allows for bilingual and inclusive language resources, adapting content to diverse audiences such as children and young people, families, or local authorities. The goal is for citizens to improve their ability to anticipate and act correctly in an emergency.
Among the features of the mobile unit are an immersive experience with virtual reality glasses focused on self-protection, a touch screen with the GVA 1·1·2 Avisos application to reinforce its knowledge and use, and recreational activities such as bingo or goose game for decision-making in critical situations, in addition to informative workshops on emergencies.
The vehicle also has adapted access and an interior space of 50 square meters, allowing for work meetings with the municipal corporation, technical staff, or civil protection professionals to strengthen coordination and preventive culture at the territorial level.
