The 'Orihuela Suena' project will fill the city with concerts and activities next weekend, including prize draws and experiences to encourage shopping.

The initiative ‘Orihuela Suena’, which will bring concerts, masterclasses, and DJ sets to the city next weekend, will feature prize draws for shows at the Teatro Circo, experiences in local shops and hospitality venues, special promotions, and new actions to be announced soon. The aim is to encourage shopping at local businesses and generate activity in the streets of Orihuela.
To participate in the prize draws, customers must send a photograph of a purchase receipt of 20 euros or more, made at any shop in the municipality, to the email address provided by the organization via the official website www.orihuelasuena.com.
The prize draws will take place starting May 25th, after the event's activities conclude. Participants can win double tickets for shows like ‘Improhéroes’ and ‘Edu Soto’ at the Teatro Circo, as well as for future events in the upcoming cultural season. The Association of Merchants of the Municipality of Orihuela (ACMO) will also offer special experiences and promotions for commercial and hospitality establishments in the municipality.
The Councilor for Commerce, Vicente Pina, highlighted the importance of the joint involvement of the City Council, merchants, hospitality businesses, and associations. “Our strength comes from the residents and those who choose to support local businesses,” he stated. Pina recalled that one of the main objectives is to generate activity in the city and strengthen the connection between culture, music, commerce, and hospitality.
The closing concert, scheduled for Sunday, May 24th at 12:00 PM, will finally be held in Plaza Nueva, a more central location directly linked to the commerce and hospitality of the urban center, at the request of the merchants.
Local musician and producer Óscar Ferrer encouraged everyone to follow the social media channels and the official website of ‘Orihuela Suena’ for updates on new activities and promotions. “We want to greatly energize the city through social media and continue incorporating activities that connect music with commerce and with all citizens,” he explained.
Ferrer announced that new collaborations and special actions are continuously being added. ‘Orihuela Suena’ will bring together acoustic concerts, DJ sets, and specialized training over three days in various emblematic spaces of the city.
The president of ACMO, Ascensio Pérez, thanked the City Council and Óscar Ferrer for including the association in an initiative he described as “innovative, different, and very necessary for Orihuela.” He emphasized the importance of promoting campaigns that strengthen local commerce.
All information regarding the program, activities, prize draws, and promotions can now be found on the project's official website www.orihuelasuena.com and its social media profiles.
