The Orihuela City Council has put out to tender the rehabilitation works for the Ramón de Campoamor Civic Center, located in Orihuela Costa, with an investment of 294,023 euros to restore the space and ensure its proper use.

The intervention, processed by the Department of Contracting, responds to the need for a comprehensive renovation of a building that presents various constructive pathologies. The proposal originated from the Department of Citizen Participation, due to the deterioration of the property.
According to the project, the building suffers damage both internally and externally, mainly due to problems in the foundation and ground settlements. This has led to cracks, dampness, and general deterioration in various structural elements.
Planned actions include underpinning the foundation with micropiles to stabilize the structure, creating a drainage network to prevent leaks, and repairing cracks, coatings, pavements, and false ceilings. The elimination of dampness, repair of leaks, and replacement of deteriorated elements on the facade and in outdoor areas are also contemplated.
The estimated period for executing the works will be six months from the formalization of the contract, aiming for the center to be able to offer quality service to users promptly.
