The Orihuela Local Police has freed a woman allegedly held against her will in a home in Orihuela Costa and arrested a man for several serious crimes.

The intervention occurred on Sunday afternoon in the La Florida urbanization. The victim sought help from a patrol after managing to leave the home where, she stated, she had been held since late April.
The woman was visibly distressed and crying in public when she asked for assistance from the officers. She explained that she lived with a man who prevented her from leaving the residence against her will.

The victim reported that she had been suffering continuous threats and coercion for several days. According to her testimony, the man threatened to send intimate photos and videos to family and acquaintances if she left the home.

The woman was finally able to leave the property after contacting the detainee's son, using the excuse that she was going shopping. After she left the house, the alleged aggressor reportedly began distributing intimate images and videos among people close to the victim.
Several patrols from the Orihuela Costa Local Police arrived at the scene, locating the alleged perpetrator in the home. After interviewing both parties and conducting the necessary checks, officers proceeded with his arrest. The victim was later taken to file a formal complaint, while the detainee was placed at the disposal of the Guardia Civil of Pilar de la Horadada.
That same Sunday, the Local Police also arrested two individuals for vehicle theft and possible document forgery in an operation carried out on Colón Street in Orihuela Costa. Officers located a Lexus car whose occupants raised suspicions. After checking the documentation, they verified it had been reported stolen since 2018 and detected signs of tampering with the chassis number. The vehicle was recovered and impounded.
Additionally, last Friday, the Orihuela Local Police arrested a man on Traviata Street who had an outstanding judicial warrant for search, arrest, and appearance issued by a court in Málaga. The arrest occurred during a joint static control operation in Orihuela Costa, after the driver performed an evasive maneuver.
