Starting at 10:00 AM, the event will feature the participation of local associations and entities from various municipalities in the province of Alicante. The main goal is to give visibility to animals seeking a home and to raise public awareness about the reality of many without families.
“"I encourage residents to join the day and, why not, to give a second chance to pets looking for a home."
The fair will not only manage adoptions but also set up a collection point for animal food and cleaning products. Additionally, a dog training workshop will be offered where professionals will answer questions about pet behavior and provide advice.
The program will also include a civic campaign focused on collecting excrement and urine in public spaces, distributing bags and small bottles to raise awareness about the importance of keeping common areas clean. There will also be children's activities themed around the animal world at 11:00 AM, a balloon release in homage to deceased pets at 12:00 PM, and an adoption parade at 12:15 PM to introduce attendees to the animals awaiting a new opportunity.
This first edition sees collaboration from associations such as Alma Peluda, APADAC Callosa, Huellas Salvadas Elche, the Ibi Animal Shelter, AARDA Rafal, Pels Pels, and Somos Gos. The Adoption Fair will conclude at 1:30 PM, after a day dedicated to awareness, respect, and animal welfare.
