The contract, published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, foresees an execution period of nine months from the signing of the staking out act. This action will be carried out on the building annexed to the bus terminal, currently disused, to be subsequently transferred to the Ministry of Health.
The objective is for the facilities to function as a specialized resource for the care of children and adolescents with mental health problems, a long-demanded need in the Vega Baja region.
The technical project, prepared by Belmonte Botella Arquitectos, contemplates the expansion both on the ground floor and in height of the current building, as well as a comprehensive renovation of the existing dependencies. For this, it will be necessary to demolish enclosures, roofs, and interior partitions, preserving the structure and foundation of the property.
The new center will have a lobby, reception, waiting room, occupational workshops, group therapy room, warehouse, archive, cleaning room, nursing control, and medicine deposit on the ground floor. In addition, spaces linked to the bus service will be maintained, with a waiting room and separate toilets for terminal users with independent access from the outside.
On the first floor, assistance offices, administration, management, meeting room, dining room, office, changing rooms, and an outdoor terrace will be set up. The complex will also have a private patio for the users of the center, delimited by light fencing to ensure privacy.
The total built area planned amounts to 416.15 square meters, of which 262.15 correspond to expansion and 154 square meters to the adaptation of the existing building. The tender will be resolved through a simplified open procedure, where the price will have a weight of 75% in the evaluation of offers.
