Yellow Alert for Strong Winds in Castellón Province with Gusts Over 120 km/h

Castellón province is under a yellow alert for strong winds, activated by Aemet, with gusts already exceeding 120 kilometers per hour in several northern municipalities, according to data from the Associació Valenciana de Meteorologia (Avamet).

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) activated a yellow alert in Castellón province for wind gusts expected to reach 80 kilometers per hour. However, records obtained by the Associació Valenciana de Meteorologia (Avamet) have significantly surpassed these forecasts.
Several municipalities have registered triple-digit wind speeds. The strongest gusts have been concentrated in the north of the province. As of 10:00 AM, updated data showed that Vilar de Canes reached 124 km/h, followed by Xert with 118 km/h and la Pobla de Benifassà with 111 km/h. Other locations such as Tírig (108 km/h) and la Torre d'en Besora (105 km/h) also exceeded one hundred kilometers per hour.
The yellow alert will remain active in the interior and northern coast of Castellón until 11:59 PM on Monday, having started at 8:00 PM on Sunday. For the interior and southern coast, the warning will be in effect from midnight on Monday until 5:00 PM.
