The Vinaròs City Council, through the Tourism Department, has approved the regulations for participation in the first edition of Gastrollagostí, a new gastronomic event scheduled for June 6 and 7.

With this initiative, the council aims to strengthen Vinaròs' position as a leading destination in Mediterranean culture and gastronomy, highlighting local products and the talent of sector professionals.

"With Gastrollagostí, we want to create a gastronomic experience that goes beyond tasting, valuing local products and the work of our professionals in a unique environment."

Mercedes García · Councillor for Tourism
The call is open to restaurant establishments located in the municipality of Vinaròs, who can submit their applications until May 11, 2026. Participation is free, and the organization will select a maximum of 10 proposals, considering criteria such as quality distinctions, links with gastronomic associations, sustainability, and collaboration with local producers.
Selected establishments must present a gastronomic proposal consisting of five tapas: two made with Vinaròs prawn and three of free creation, all using local products such as ancient olive oil or citrus fruits. Additionally, participants must be part of the Vinaròs Prawn Cuisine Days, which will run from May 18 to June 21.
For the restaurant area, Gastrollagostí will feature 10 fully equipped modular stands, from which restaurateurs will offer their proposals during the event weekend, from 11:00 to 23:00 on Saturday and 11:00 to 22:00 on Sunday. Tapas prices will range from 4 to 12 euros, with all proceeds going directly to each participating establishment.

"This initiative also seeks to boost the local hospitality sector, offering new promotional opportunities and bringing Vinaròs' gastronomy closer to both residents and visitors."

Alongside the restaurant stands, 8 modular stands will be set up for artisan producers and makers selling food products, wines, or spirits. Selection criteria will prioritize production from Vinaròs, the Baix Maestrat region, the province of Castellón, or neighboring territories such as the rest of the Valencian Community, Tarragona, or Teruel, and those with quality certifications.

"It is essential to highlight local producers, as they are a key part of the quality and authenticity of our gastronomy, in addition to contributing to regional development."

With this first edition, the Vinaròs City Council is committed to a new gastronomic format that combines promotion, economic revitalization, and the valorization of local products, creating a visibility platform for the municipality's restaurateurs.
