The Festival Marquee in Vinaròs hosted the central opening event for the Sant Joan and Sant Pere Festivals, drawing hundreds of attendees to the port. This occasion marked the beginning of a program running until June 29th, which has already infused the city with a festive atmosphere.
A notable moment was the speech by patron Pilar Nos, head of Digestive Medicine at the La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital. Nos emphasized the significance of local culture as a key element of Vinaròs' identity and the importance of looking towards the future while preserving roots.
Mayor Maria Dolores Miralles highlighted that the festivals are integral to the collective identity, representing a vibrant, welcoming town proud of its history. She thanked all individuals and entities contributing to the celebration, specifically mentioning the Municipal Brigade, local organizations, and security forces.
Following the proclamation, the festive program continued with the inauguration of El Vermut de Festes and the Reial de la Fira. The night concluded with the launch of the musical program and the announcement of the performance by Orquestra París de Noia, making their debut in the Valencian Community.
This year, the Sant Joan and Sant Pere Festivals feature four distinct spaces: 'Vinaròs Viu', the main stage for major concerts; 'Garden', offering electronic music for young audiences; 'Vinaròs ciutat d’artistes', a participatory initiative; and 'La Mera', a nighttime entertainment area with post-firecracker performances.
