The garden of the old convent of San Francisco in Vinaròs has been selected as one of the most outstanding rehabilitation interventions in Spain over the last 50 years, as part of the exhibition Radical Rehab. Architecture and Heritage in Spain (1975–2025).

The exhibition, inaugurated on April 23 at the Casa de la Arquitectura in Madrid, highlights the decisive role of architecture in the innovative revitalization of built heritage in the country over the last five decades.
The Vinaròs City Council emphasizes that its presence in this exhibition, which can be visited until March 28 of next year, places the town on the national stage for architecture and heritage recovery.
The exhibited projects, a total of 80 works by architects of various generations, embody a radical approach to rethinking the relationship with inherited heritage, caring for and enhancing its latent qualities. Functional reprogramming, climate awareness, and the incorporation of new technical resources have led to interventions that go beyond mere preservation.
The selection includes cultural, educational, administrative, and religious facilities, as well as urban spaces, natural environments, and housing, demonstrating a collective will to activate heritage throughout the national territory. The projects are organized into eight lines of work: Vanguard, Identity, Community, City, Living, Technology, Energy, and Landscape, with slogans that refer to values of direct relevance to society.
