This initiative, promoted by the Government team, is aimed at all residents registered in the municipality. The Sant Jordi City Council seeks to facilitate the procedures for interested families as much as possible, with the intention of paying out the aid before the end of the year.
“"Given the success of recent years, we have decided to continue with this line of aid, which complements many others we already have in place. This is a measure that supports families in the municipality and also acts as an incentive to retain population and combat the risk of depopulation affecting our region."
Thanks to initiatives like this, the municipality of Sant Jordi continues to consolidate its demographic growth, in contrast to the trend of other surrounding municipalities. In addition to this type of aid, the Government team continues to promote direct support measures and the constant improvement of municipal services, as well as collaboration with other administrations in areas such as health and education.
The benefit consists of financial aid of 600 euros for each birth or adoption, corresponding to the period between January 1 and December 31, 2026, inclusive. The total amount allocated to this line of aid amounts to 3,600 euros.
The applicant, parent, or adopter of the child, holder of the family book in which their birth or adoption is registered, and who lives with the minor or minors motivating the benefit, may be a beneficiary. To be eligible for this aid, both parents or adopters must be registered in the municipality of Sant Jordi on the date of application and at least one of them must have a minimum of one year of prior registration. Likewise, the minor must be registered in the municipality from birth or adoption.
