La Pobla de Benifassà is nearing completion of road improvement works on the CV-105, a project funded by the Diputación de Castellón with 605,000 euros, which has allowed for road widening and enhanced traffic safety.
These actions, which began last year, primarily aim to reduce risks for road traffic in a crucial section for the town and its surroundings. Mayor David Gil highlighted that the benefits of this investment will not only be for the residents of La Pobla de Benifassà but also for those of El Ballestar, a smaller entity with which they share management and a privileged natural environment.
“
"The winding nature of the road and the absence of shoulders generated dangers that we are gradually overcoming with this investment."
The specific section where the Diputación's work has been concentrated is between kilometer point 5+885 and 7+190 within the municipal area of La Pobla de Benifassà. Improving communications is seen as a key factor for the development of municipalities, opening new opportunities for growth.
“
"Improving communications is not only positive for our neighbors, but also for the development capacity of our municipalities, because these links are avenues of opportunity and we want to continue growing."
David Gil expressed his gratitude to the president of the Diputación, Marta Barrachina, for her
new sensitivity with which they listen to us
which has allowed for solutions and new projects in small towns with limited resources like theirs. The inconveniences caused by the works are considered a fair price for the immediate benefits they will bring.
