The project involves an increase of 785 square meters in the hospital's surface area. This action will allow for the creation of 18 new outpatient clinics, designed to optimize the service of Ophthalmology and Traumatology, providing a more comfortable space for patients and improving working conditions for medical staff.
The expansion will include specific equipment such as a plaster room, a treatment room, a laser room, an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) unit, and a space for intravitreal treatments. The main goal is to provide the center with better healthcare resources for the Baix Maestrat and Els Ports regions.
The execution of the works has been divided into three distinct phases. First, interior partitions will be demolished and sanitation, climate, and electrical installations will be adapted. Subsequently, prefabricated modules will be installed, and finally, the glass roof that will complete the new infrastructure will be placed.
