The Department of Health has tendered the expansion works for the outpatient clinics of the Vinaròs Regional Hospital, with a budget exceeding 2.3 million euros to improve healthcare services.

The project involves an increase of 785 square meters in the hospital's surface area. This action will allow for the creation of 18 new outpatient clinics, designed to optimize patient care services and provide more spacious and comfortable waiting areas.
The new facilities will be dedicated to the specialties of Ophthalmology and Traumatology. Specifically, six clinics for traumatology, a plaster room, and a dressing room will be set up. For the ophthalmology area, three clinics, a laser room, an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) room, and a space for intravitreal treatments will be incorporated.
The execution of the work has been divided into three distinct phases. Initially, interior partition walls will be demolished, and sanitation, climate control, and electrical installations will be adapted. Subsequently, prefabricated modules will be placed, and finally, the glass roof will be installed.
The Vinaròs Regional Hospital is the reference center for the Vinaròs Health Department, which provides healthcare to the population of the Els Ports and Baix Maestrat regions.
