The Minister of Agriculture, Water, Livestock, and Fisheries, Miguel Barrachina, highlighted in Benicarló the leadership of the province of Castellón in generational agricultural transfer, with the incorporation of 158 new professionals and an investment of 8.35 million euros.

During his visit to Benicarló, the minister emphasized that, out of the total beneficiaries, 130 are young people between 18 and 40 years old, while 28 are new farmers between 41 and 56 years old. This distribution reflects the dual objective of the call: to encourage the incorporation of young people into the sector and to facilitate new opportunities for profiles who decide to start their agricultural activity at a later stage.

The new incorporations involve the implementation of 2,252 agricultural hectares in the province, as well as the recovery of 75 hectares that were in a state of abandonment. This action contributes to expanding the productive area and improving land use, strengthening economic activity in rural areas and retaining population in municipalities where the primary sector remains an essential pillar.
The aid line covers 100% of the initial investment, conditioned on agricultural or livestock activity being the main activity for at least five years, ensuring the commitment of new professionals to the sector. This call marks a triple record, having granted twice as much aid in half the time and with an amount almost tripling that of previous calls.
The minister also recalled the recovery of 598 rural roads throughout the Valencian Community with a global investment of 30.8 million euros, of which 9.4 million have been allocated to the province of Castellón. In Benicarló, the works have allowed the conditioning of 1,340 meters on the Camí Partida Bovalar and the Camí Basseta-Bovalar, guaranteeing access to agricultural exploitations and restoring normality in the daily work of the sector.
