Residents of El Ràfol de Salem, in La Vall d'Albaida, are experiencing an unbearable situation due to a fly plague that has intensified in recent months, severely impacting daily life and quality of life.

The massive presence of these insects makes it practically impossible to carry out daily activities such as opening windows or eating outdoors. Residents have expressed their concern to the Town Council, as the problem, which has been ongoing for some time, has significantly worsened.

The situation affects not only the interior of homes but also outdoor spaces, where the presence of flies and an unpleasant odor make it unfeasible to enjoy the surroundings. Concern is growing among the inhabitants of El Ràfol de Salem with the arrival of summer, as they fear the situation will deteriorate further.
Residents point to the management of organic waste from some farms in the municipality as a possible origin of the plague.
