The new General Hospital of Ontinyent has opened its doors as a strategic infrastructure for the Vall d'Albaida, following a global investment of 73 million euros by the Generalitat.

This healthcare center, long demanded by the public, represents a qualitative leap in medical care for the area. With its launch, a closer and more specialized service is guaranteed, preventing patients from having to travel to other reference centers to receive complex treatments.
The facilities feature five operating rooms and 80 hospitalization beds. In addition, specialized units have been incorporated, such as the Critical Care Unit, the Mental Health Unit, and the Brain Injury Unit, significantly expanding the range of services available to residents.
To ensure the optimal operation of the center, an additional effort has been made in human resources with an investment exceeding 5 million euros. This allocation has allowed for the creation of 136 new professional positions, ensuring that medical staff can meet the present and future needs of the entire catchment area.
