The event, focused on family entertainment, will offer arcade and pinball zones with original machines, alongside dedicated spaces for classic systems such as Super Nintendo, NES, PlayStation, Amstrad, and Commodore. Throughout the weekend, there will also be tournaments, workshops, family activities, and a cosplay area.
Among the notable participants is the development studio 4MHz, which will showcase current video game creation work to the public. Also attending will be David Boscà, known on social media as «Creativo en Japón», a specialist video game influencer and a resident of Gandia, whose presence will be one of the main attractions of this edition.
The venue will also feature a commercial area with specialized shops, collectibles, merchandise, and comics. As a new addition, the event will include a gastronomic space with food trucks. La Cromería will also participate, presenting a focus on collecting World Cup trading cards.
A charitable aspect will once again be present with the initiative «Videojuegos por Alimentos» (Video Games for Food), a food collection campaign for Cáritas, driven by the proposal from La Taronja Friki.
“"They allow us to reach audiences that we otherwise couldn't, and they help us consolidate Gandia as a benchmark for hosting MICE events."
The Councillor for Tourism, Balbina Sendra, highlighted the relevance of these types of gatherings for the municipality. The councillor also noted that the work being done by the Gandia Convention Bureau is yielding positive results.
General admission will be seven euros, while children under six years old can enter for free. Retroplay 2026 is organized by the Retroplay Association in collaboration with the Gandia City Council and the Tourism Department. The full program can be consulted on the event's website.
