The Gandia government has unveiled 'La Visit Gandia', a new tourist card designed to facilitate access to nine cultural and heritage sites within the city. This tool, costing 13 euros and valid for 72 hours from the first validation, seeks to extend tourism beyond peak season and establish the city as a permanent cultural destination, particularly for weekend visitors.
Inspired by European CityCard models, the card unifies the city's cultural offerings. It is expected to encourage short stays and reinforce a tourism model that extends beyond the summer months. Tourism Councilor Balbina Sendra, XEC Director Estela Pellicer, and First Deputy Mayor and Heritage Councilor Alícia Izquierdo detailed its features.
The card will be primarily sold digitally via xecgandia.com. A physical credit-card-like version will also be available exclusively for hotels and campsites to offer their clients. Children aged 0-5 enter for free, while those over six pay 13 euros. The card is valid for one year from purchase, with the 72-hour usage period beginning upon the first scan.
The nine included sites are: the Ducal Palace of the Borja, the Insigne Colegiata de Gandia, the Archaeological Museum of Gandia (MAGa), the Museum of Santa Clara, the Faller Museum of Gandia, the Archaeological Park of Bairén Castle, the Cova del Parpalló, the Torre dels Pares, and the Morabit de Marxuquera. It also includes special discounts for the Teatre del Raval programming.
The XEC's digital platform will provide detailed information on schedules, maps, resource details, audiovisual material, and real-time updates. The initiative, previously presented at FITUR 2026, aims to be a stable and evolving product, with plans to later integrate the Holy Week Museum and public transport passes.
