The festival, now in its fifth edition and supported by the Ministry of Culture, aims to expand contemporary dance to new territories and audiences, particularly in municipalities with limited access to cultural programming. The proposal for Potries includes accessible and participatory activities connected to the local environment.
The day will begin at 11:00 AM in the Parc de la Concordia with Cossos en Escolta, a free movement and sensory expression workshop for individuals aged 10 and above, requiring prior registration.
From 8:00 PM at the Plaça del Cup and 9:00 PM at the Casa de la Cultura, three performances will be presented: OTEMPOITZ by ERTZA (Donosti), DONT TAKE IT PERSONAL by Jessica Castellón (Cádiz), and RITO by Otra Danza (Alicante).
The event will conclude with a brief exchange between artists and the public, fostering a more direct relationship between creation and citizenship.
Potries is the third stop of this edition, following Galapagar and San Fulgencio. The project, directed by Carlos González, will tour various municipalities in the Community of Madrid and the Valencian Community, establishing itself as an initiative for the decentralization and democratization of culture.
