The XXI Poefesta in Oliva brought together a thousand people at the Centre Polivalent to pay a heartfelt tribute to the recently deceased poet Josep Piera, and to celebrate poetry with prominent authors.

The event, which featured the participation of figures such as Luis García Montero and Gioconda Belli, was coordinated by Oliva-born poet Ángels Gregori and presented by Mario Obrero. Attendees enjoyed a variety of poetic offerings, including sung poems in Basque by Maialen Lujamblo and the presence of La Safor poet Maria Josep Escrivà.
The evening also included contributions from poets Biel Mesquida, Juan José Téllez, and Juan Carlos Abril, accompanied by the visual imagery of Alex Palli. Singer-songwriter Pedro Guerra concluded the festival with his well-known song Contamíname.

"This festival was transformed almost into a deep sensory experience. As the poets gave voice to their own creations, intertwined with the memory of the master, the audience immersed themselves in absolute silence. That silence, charged with respect and admiration, was the true protagonist of the evening."

Within the framework of the Poefesta, the Premi Poefesta Maians was awarded to Carla Siscar for her work Estacions consumides. Siscar's piece pays homage to poets such as Ausiàs March and Francisco Brines, as well as popular sayings, demonstrating the richness of Valencian literary tradition.
The event was attended by various authorities, including the director general of books, comics, and reading of the Spanish Ministry of Culture, María José Gálvez Salvador, and the director of Culture, Libraries, and Digital Culture of the Instituto Cervantes, Raquel Caleya. Also present were the mayor of Oliva, Yolanda Pastor, the president of the Mancomunitat de la Safor, Jordi Puig, and the Councillor for Culture of Oliva, Teresa Tur.
