The Board of Directors of Foment AIC of Gandia, meeting in an extraordinary session on May 5, 2026, unanimously decided to grant this award to the Espurna Foundation. This honorary award, without financial endowment, seeks to recognize the social work of entities and companies with a great civic impact in the region.
“"This new Award will honor the social work carried out by various entities and companies with great civic impact. The Award is honorary, without any economic endowment. The awarded Entity or Company will receive an original sculpture, designed ex professo. The intention of the Society for the Promotion of AIC is to maintain the award over time."
The Social Recognition Award is integrated into the Social Area of Foment AIC of Gandia and aims to highlight organizations that perform remarkable social action. The awarded entity will receive an original sculpture designed exclusively for the occasion.
This initiative joins other cultural activities promoted by the Society for the Promotion of AIC of Gandia in recent years. These include the Cultural Trajectory Award, created in 2017 on the occasion of Gandia's cultural capital status, and the sponsorship of the Joan Climent Poetry Award since 2020, which recognizes poetic texts published in Falla booklets. Furthermore, the entity has promoted the Processional Marches Contest of Gandia's Holy Week, consolidating its collaboration with the local Fallas world and Holy Week.
