The city of Gandia will host, from May 6 to 8, the twenty-seventh edition of Com Sona l'ESO, an educational and musical project bringing together nearly 1,750 students and 200 teachers from 84 institutes.

The co-spokesperson for the Local Government and Education councilor, Esther Sapena, announced today the celebration in Gandia of a new edition of Com Sona l'ESO. This reference educational and musical project returns to the city for the second consecutive year, consolidating Gandia as a key space for educational and cultural innovation.
Sapena highlighted that this is the twenty-seventh edition of a fully consolidated initiative, which this year breaks participation records. It will feature nearly 1,750 students, from 1st year of ESO to 2nd year of Bachillerato, and over 200 teachers from 84 institutes in the Valencian Community, the Balearic Islands, and Catalonia. For three days, the Grau de Gandia will become a large open stage where music, coexistence, and shared learning will be the protagonists.

"Com Sona l'ESO is much more than a musical gathering. It is a space for coexistence, creativity, and shared growth, where hundreds of young people and teachers work together around music. It is, in short, a different way of learning, based on participation, teamwork, and emotion."

The councilor emphasized the commitment of the Department of Education to a pedagogical vision that goes beyond the classroom, promoting activities that enrich student training and provide new methodologies. She also highlighted the added value of the project for its use of Valencian as a vehicular language, emphasizing it as a tool for culture, creation, and social cohesion.
The project coordinator, Joan Alcover, delved into the essence of the gathering, noting that it is an initiative born in the classrooms. He aimed to break stereotypes about youth, stating that the result is extraordinary when young people believe in something and feel it as their own. The project combines activities open to the public with others specifically aimed at participating students, fostering coexistence and creativity.
The program for Com Sona l'ESO 2026 includes activities such as “Ballem Gandia” on Wednesday at 8:00 PM at the Moll dels Borja, where 2,000 students will perform traditional dances. On Friday at 10:00 PM, the Main Stage in the port's parking lot will host the premiere of the musical “Intergalàctica”, a massive show with 2,000 participants. There will also be activities like “Com canta l'ESO”, “Com balla l'ESO”, and the “OFF Festival” in the Plaça Rosa dels Vents on Friday between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM.
