The exhibition, divided into five thematic sections, offers a tour through the different historical elements that make up the Corpus celebration in the city. Visitors can get a close look at the rich cultural heritage linked to this festival through audiovisual material, old press clippings, historical photographs, sheet music, and musical instruments used in the traditional civic procession.
Furthermore, the exhibition showcases traditional Valencian attire from the 18th and 19th centuries, allowing visitors to discover the evolution and uniqueness of one of the most emblematic celebrations in the Valencian festive calendar.
Last Saturday, the exhibition was visited by the mayor of Gandia, José Manuel Prieto, and the Councilor for Culture, Balbina Sendra. Both were accompanied by Josep Lluís Mendieta, representing the Cultural Association Balls del Corpus de Gandia, who explained the main characteristics and particularities of the display.
Elements Corpus Christi constitutes an excellent opportunity to approach the history, traditions, and cultural legacy of Gandia's Corpus Christi.
The exhibition can be visited with free admission at the Sala d’Arcs of Gandia City Hall from Monday to Saturday, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM and from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
