The Grimalt family company closes the fiscal year with €281 million in sales and €54 million in profit, driven by its expansion and reinvestment strategy.

The well-known Ale-Hop brand has concluded its latest fiscal year, achieving a record revenue of €281 million, a 10% increase from the previous year. The company, recognized for its iconic cow statue at store entrances, maintains strong profitability, converting nearly one in every five euros earned into profit. This resulted in €54 million in earnings, surpassing the €51 million from the prior period, despite rising costs for raw materials, transportation, and rent.
The company's growth is underpinned by its ambitious expansion plans. Last year, Ale-Hop opened 23 new stores, both domestically and internationally, extending its presence to Portugal, Italy, and Croatia. The firm, which prioritizes self-financing and profit reinvestment, began 2025 with the inauguration of its new innovation center in Oliva, expanding its logistics capacity to 40,000 square meters.
During 2025, the company invested €42 million in opening and renovating points of sale, logistics centers, digitizing processes, and R&D+i activities. Furthermore, the development of the P.I.A. 'Activa Safor' project is noteworthy. This logistics initiative is being driven in collaboration with the Valencian Government and the municipalities of Gandia and Bellreguard. The plan, which anticipates a global investment of €120 million and the creation of 200 direct jobs, is currently awaiting final approval.
For the current year, Ale-Hop is focusing its strategy on continued national expansion and consolidating its international presence. The company maintains a policy of prudent and sustained growth. Company management highlights "the effort made by the entire team" as a key factor in their results.
The firm, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, traces its origins back to the initiative of founder Vicente Grimalt, who transitioned from agriculture to commerce. After starting by selling Mexican hats and opening a housewares store in Dénia, the definitive leap came with the establishment of Ale-Hop in 2001. The placement of a life-size cow at the entrance of its stores is considered one of the most effective marketing actions in recent history. The main headquarters and logistics facilities are now located in Bellreguard.
