Rosalía's production company has entrusted the talent of Marco Maseda, one of the Valencian figures with the most international projection in contemporary urban art. This artist, originally from Castellón de la Plana, has created a piece that is part of the material linked to the renowned singer's tour.
For Maseda, the creative process always begins with a deep emotional connection to the character being portrayed. The artist has expressed that he considers Rosalía a visionary and that he found it particularly easy to transfer her energy to the canvas.
Using a palette limited to three colors—white, black, and fuchsia—which have become a distinctive mark of his visual universe, Maseda has managed to condense the singer's scenic and expressive power into just half a face. The artist explains that he finds the essence of each person in their eyes, the key point for constructing a portrait that goes beyond mere physical resemblance.
With two decades of experience, Maseda acknowledges that music is the engine of his creativity and the guiding thread of every brushstroke. He has painted live in front of thousands of people, including an experience before more than 27,000 spectators at the Las Ventas bullring. Recently, he premiered the exhibition Referentes in Andorra, alongside Lita Cabellut, one of the most internationally recognized Spanish artists.
Despite his global projection, Marco Maseda maintains a strong connection with his hometown, Castellón, which remains for him the place to return to reconnect with inspiration and recharge his energy.
