The International Wind Festival has brought part of its magic to Peñíscola, turning its emblematic Papa Luna Castle into a privileged stage for a kite exhibition. This initiative has allowed about twenty pilots from countries such as Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, India, China, Indonesia, England, Croatia, and Spain to fill the coastal landscape with color and movement.
This special exhibition in Peñíscola has been conceived as an extension of the main festival, held last weekend in El Grau de Castelló. The aim is to promote kite culture and introduce the festival to more parts of the province, taking advantage of the tourist appeal of locations like Peñíscola, with its old town overlooking the Mediterranean.
The event offered an unusual and particularly striking sight for residents and visitors, with kites flying over one of the most iconic castles in the Mediterranean. The experience has been very positively valued by the organization, which has already announced its intention to repeat it next year.
The event combines spectacle, landscape, and tourism promotion, seeking to establish itself as a continuous proposal that fosters kite culture and expands the festival's reach.
