The rector of the Universitat Jaume I, Jesús Lancis, has begun his term by signing the resolution appointing the vice-rectors, the secretary-general, and the Rector's delegates who will accompany him in this new institutional phase of the public university of Castellón.
"These are individuals with academic experience, management skills, and institutional commitment to deploy the new university project, where knowledge acts as a driver of social transformation and people's well-being, consolidating UJI as a benchmark for innovation and values," stated Lancis.
Thus, the Government Team is composed of: Pilar Ezpeleta Piorno, Vice-Rector for Degrees, Internationalization, and Multilingualism; Azucena García Palacios, Vice-Rector for Research; Marisa Flor Peris, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Transfer, and Territory; Francesc Esteve Mon, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs; Ximo Beltrán Arandes, Vice-Rector for Staff and Academic Planning; Lola Martínez Rodrigo, Vice-Rector for Campus, Sustainability, and University Life; Susana Miquel Segarra, Vice-Rector for Communication and Participation; Raquel Agost Felip, Vice-Rector for Culture, Social Commitment, and Equality; and Iván Barreda Tarrazona, Vice-Rector for Economy, Quality, and Strategic Planning.
Furthermore, he has also appointed Andrea Planchadell Gargallo as the new Secretary-General of UJI; Modesto Fabra Valls as the Rector's delegate for Digital Strategy and Artificial Intelligence; and Ramón Feenstra as the Rector's delegate for the Directorate of the Cabinet, Open Science, and Integrity.
In this way, together with Rector Jesús Lancis, the Government Team will consist of six vice-rectors, three vice-rectors, the Secretary-General, and two Rector's delegates, to whom the Management will be added. Finally, the management structure will be completed with other statutory and non-statutory positions.
