The Principal Theatre of Castellón, managed by the Valencian Institute of Culture (IVC), will host on June 5th one of the quarter-final matches of the 10th Valencian Dramaturgy Tournament.

The event brings together eight Valencian playwrights who will compete in various tournament venues with thirty-minute dramatic texts. Their works will be interpreted in a dramatized manner by professionals on a stage transformed into a boxing ring, where Pilar Martínez will serve as the master of ceremonies.
In the "combat" at the Principal de Castelló, Sònia Alejo, who has chosen the nickname "La medusa de la Plana Alta", will face Mage Arnal, participating under the moniker "La Miquinoria de la Marjal". The playwrights will not know their interpreters until two hours before the performance. Additionally, all plays must incorporate a phrase from the text "Los Reales", by Tomás Verdú, winner of the previous edition.
Following these quarter-final matches, the semi-finals will take place on June 9th and 11th at the Rialto Theatre in València. The grand final will be held on June 18th in the same venue, where the audience will decide who wins the championship belt of this tenth edition.
Tickets for the session at the Principal Theatre of Castellón cost two euros and can be purchased at the box office and on the IVC website.
