Amics del Bàsquet Castelló was unable to achieve promotion to Primera FEB after falling by a narrow 66-68 margin to Bueno Arenas Albacete in the playoff semifinal held at the Pabellón Ciutat de Castelló.

The highly contested match, close until the end, concluded the Castellón team's season in their pursuit of promotion to the second tier of national basketball. The Mayoress of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco, attended the game alongside the Councilor for Sports, Maica Hurtado, and other members of the municipal corporation. Also present were the President of Les Corts, Llanos Massó, the Director General of Sport, Luis Cervera, and the provincial deputy for Sports, Iván Sánchez, among other authorities.
Despite the defeat, Carrasco emphasized the team's hard work and season performance. She expressed her "pride and congratulations to the players, coaching staff, and board for the great season achieved by Amics, which lays the foundation for future successes." The new board, led by its president, Javier Fortuño, has the City Council's support to achieve its goals.
The Mayoress also addressed the fans, who filled the pavilion and created a great atmosphere throughout the game. "Castellón has a great passion for basketball, and Amics brings together hundreds of families through its various youth teams. This is the club's main asset," she stated. She added that "sooner rather than later, Castellón basketball will return to the category it deserves for its history, its fans, and everyone who passionately follows this sport in our city."
Carrasco concluded that, regardless of the outcome, the club should focus on the positives of their journey and the social support received. "Even in these bitter moments, we must focus on the most positive aspects: the support of the fans and of an entire city that will continue with its team next season. We will be there again, supporting our team to achieve, together, the goal of taking Amics to the top. The first step on this path is promotion to Primera FEB. I am convinced that with this club and these fans, we will return."
