The city of Castellón is hosting the VIII edition of the Ecoforum of the Valencian Community, a key event for discussing sustainability, circular economy, and ecological transition, bringing together institutions, companies, and experts.

The event, organized by Prensa Ibérica Comunitat Valenciana and the Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery of the Generalitat Valenciana, takes place on May 12 at the Salón Moll de Costa del Grau de Castellón. This forum has become a fundamental space for the exchange of ideas and the search for solutions to major environmental challenges.
Among the prominent speakers is the central conference by Manuel Maqueda, professor of Special Programs in Applied Circular Economy and Regenerative Economy at Harvard University. His intervention, scheduled for 9:55 AM, will address key aspects of these disciplines.
The Ecoforum program includes several round tables and colloquiums. The first table, titled Industrial circular economy: from waste to resource. Advanced resource management, will feature technical and commercial directors from various companies in the sector. Subsequently, a colloquium will be held with the autonomous secretary of the Environment.
A second round table will focus on Sustainable transport and mobility: the challenge of decarbonizing logistics, with the participation of representatives from the Port Authority of Castellón, Castellón Airport, and the Mobility Councilor of the Castellón City Council. The day will conclude with colloquiums on electrification in industry and resource management, and will end with closing remarks by a provincial deputy.
