The Local Police of Algemesí received a call from 112 on Wednesday, June 3rd, at 10:54 PM, reporting a mass brawl in Salvador Castell park, where the amusement fair was set up for the Sant Onofre festivities. However, by the time a patrol arrived at the scene, neither the involved parties nor the victim were present.
The recording, which has begun circulating on social media, shows a large group of youths beating a man who is on the ground next to the bumper cars. The man eventually manages to get up and escape the commotion. According to police sources, the video appears to show the possible presence of minors among the participants, although the low quality of the images makes identification difficult.
Officers from the Local Police spoke with witnesses present in the area, who recounted the events, but it was not possible to identify either the alleged aggressors or the victim. No formal complaint, injury report, or request for medical assistance has been filed.
The case has been forwarded to the National Police for possible investigation. The councilor for Citizen Security and Mobility of Algemesí, Kiko Reinoso, has confirmed that the victim was a fairground worker and indicated that the motive might have been a dispute related to payment for an attraction, although the specific reason is unknown.
The local government has condemned the assault, which occurred in a festive environment frequented by families, and has expressed its concern about the violence displayed in the recording. It was highlighted that some individuals attempted to intervene to stop the assault, preventing it from prolonging further.
