A 38-year-old man died this Friday morning in Almenara, near Casablanca beach, following a fight between two men, the circumstances of which are still under investigation. The Civil Guard has arrested the alleged perpetrator, a 35-year-old man and resident of Xilxes.
The incident occurred during the morning in the beach area of the municipality. After receiving the alert via 112, a patrol was dispatched to the scene and found the victim with serious injuries. Local Police also attended the stabbing site and attempted to assist the injured man until medical resources arrived.
The victim had significant bleeding and, despite assistance efforts, died as a result of his injuries. Shortly after, officers arrested the alleged perpetrator of the fatal assault.
Initial information suggests the assault occurred after an argument between the two men. The possible relationship between the victim and the detainee is also being investigated, as one of the initial hypotheses indicates that the deceased was the ex-partner of the arrestee's current partner.
The case is now in the hands of the Civil Guard, which will need to reconstruct what happened in the moments leading up to the stabbing, confirm the origin of the fight, and clarify the exact relationship between the individuals involved.
