Artist Paula Bonet has reported on her social media a new attack on her art gallery. According to her post this Monday, an intruder allegedly broke the glass of the door, moved paintings, and stole a piece.
Bonet has indicated that she has already reported the incident and that forensic police have visited her studio to conduct the relevant investigations. The artist pointed out that the person who has been stalking her since 2019 was in preventive detention since late last July, after breaking into her studio last June, breaking the door, stealing a necklace, and leaving a signed message on a blackboard, all of which was captured by security cameras.
According to the artist, after this person was released, "exactly ten days later," this new attack and robbery occurred at her studio. Bonet has expressed her desire to live a normal life, despite the situation, and has highlighted that her current security depends on her network of friends, neighbors, and acquaintances.
It should be recalled that the justice system acquitted a man accused of stalking Paula Bonet in 2023, arguing an "erotic-manic" disorder that made him not criminally responsible. However, he was ordered to undergo psychiatric treatment for a maximum of four years and was prohibited from approaching within 500 meters of the artist for ten years.
