The Onda City Council has announced the inclusion of the Santiago Domecq ranch in the 2026 Fira d'Onda bull runs, which already featured La Quinta.

The prestigious Gaditan breeding, Santiago Domecq, will join La Quinta in the municipal bull runs during Onda's patron saint festivities. With this announcement, the council continues to advance the taurine program, a key attraction of the Fira and an event that draws significant visitor numbers annually.
According to the Councilor for Festivals and Traditions, Sergio Puig, the selection of both ranches aims to maintain a top-tier taurine offering and solidify the Fira's prestige within the national bullfighting calendar.
The participation of Santiago Domecq marks the inclusion of one of Spain's most recognized fighting bull ranches, known for the consistency and behavior of its bulls. La Quinta, announced last May, is highly regarded by many aficionados for its animals' characteristics and regular presence in prominent arenas.
The combination of these two ranches will allow for two distinct bull runs within the 2026 Fira's municipal program. Additionally, the taurine schedule includes the bull 'Bellotito' from the Partido de Resina ranch and the traditional bull run organized by the Guarismo 2 Cultural Association on Friday, October 23rd.
The bullfighting events are a central focus of the Fira d'Onda, declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. The program involves the City Council, the Festes Board, local fan clubs, and taurine associations, positioning Onda among the municipalities with the most taurine activity in the Valencian Community.
