The Onda City Council has launched a campaign to promote the 'Pastís d'Onda', a traditional pastry, by distributing personalized materials to local establishments.

The initiative aims to enhance the promotion of the 'Pastís d'Onda', one of the most representative products of the municipality's traditional gastronomy. Personalized bags and boxes will be distributed to local bakeries and pastry shops to highlight this recipe, which is deeply rooted in Onda's history and customs.
The mayor of Onda, Carmina Ballester, along with the Councilor for Hospitality and Tourism, María Baila, presented the campaign by visiting several establishments. Ballester emphasized that the pastry "is part of our identity and the memories of many generations of Ondenses," adding that "we want to continue preserving it, promoting it, and sharing it with those who visit us."
This action is part of the municipal strategy to highlight Onda's unique elements, reinforcing its cultural and gastronomic heritage. The new boxes include information on the preparation, ingredients, and traditional recipe, aiming to educate consumers about the product's history.
The campaign also seeks to support the bakeries and pastry shops that keep this tradition alive. The free distribution of these promotional materials will provide a common and recognizable image, contributing to the product's presentation and related economic activity.
Interested establishments can collect the promotional materials free of charge from the Tourism Area at the Casa de la Cultura starting Monday, June 22nd.
